Reading Korean stock filings when they arrive as HWP
Researching Korean equities means dealing with DART disclosures, KRX notices, and regulator press releases — and many of the attachments are .hwp files that nothing on your machine will open. Here is the workflow analysts actually use.
Where the HWP files come from
- DART (dart.fss.or.kr) — Korea's EDGAR. Filing attachments are frequently HWP.
- KRX — exchange notices and listing documents.
- FSC / FSS — policy announcements and press releases that move markets, published as HWP first.
The 3-step workflow
- Drop the HWP file below — read it immediately in your browser.
- Copy the Text or Markdown output into your translator or AI assistant of choice for an English summary. Markdown keeps tables intact, which matters for financial data.
- Keep a PDF copy for your records or compliance file.
